I learned early on from my mother, through ceramics and candy-houses, about the joys of the creative process. Later in life I tried to give it name. I called it an expression of the soul and an open window to other dimensions. But, it didn’t matter what I called it, or where I tried to compartmentalize it into my life, art has always been a growling hunger which requires feeding.

I believe we are all artists, creating and recreating our lives over and over, making a thousand weird mistakes before finally birthing something of substance – and even that is subjective. It is only now that I realize how deeply entwined art is with life. I find that the more I feed the artist, the more satisfying is life.
